How to play

Lead a late-game scoring drive

The Two Minute Drill Game puts you in charge of a tied football game with two minutes left. Start at your own 35-yard line, move toward the opponent's end zone, and choose a play on every down. Reach the end zone for a touchdown or take a field goal when you are in range.

Quick passes are a useful way to gain yards while protecting the clock. Runs are steadier, but an in-bounds play can use precious time. Deep shots can move the ball quickly, with a higher chance of an incomplete pass, sack, or turnover.

Manage downs and timeouts

You have four downs to gain the yards needed for a first down. A new set of downs gives you room to keep the drive alive. If you use a timeout before the next snap, you can stop the clock runoff from the previous in-bounds play. Save them for moments when every second matters.

Choose when to take points

A touchdown wins the game, but you may need to take a field goal when the clock is short or a fourth-down play is too risky. The field goal button appears when your team crosses midfield and enters kicking range. The closer you get, the better the chance of making it.

Is this Two Minute Drill Game free to play?

Yes. The game runs in your browser and does not require a download or account.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. Tap any play call or timeout button on a phone or tablet. The field and scoreboard resize to fit smaller screens.

What is the best play in a two-minute drill?

It depends on down, distance, field position, and time remaining. Short passes can balance yardage and clock control, while a run can be safer when you have time and a timeout available.
